Ingredients
For Mong Daal Bhalla
- Mong Daal(Split Green Gram) - 1 Cup
- Namak(Salt) - 1 Tsp
- Lal Mirch(Red Chilly Powder) - 1/2 Tsp
- Zeera(Cumin Seeds) - 1/2 Tsp
- Dadar Mirch(Red Chilly Flakes) - 1/2 Tsp
- Sabaz Mirch(Green Chilly) - 2
- Paani(Water) - As Required
- Meetha Soda(Baking Soda) - 1/2 Tsp
- Oil - As required
For Sweetened Yogurt
- Dahi(Yogurt) - 3 Cups
- Namak(Salt) - 1/2 Tsp
- Cheeni(Sugar) - 3 Tsp
- Chaat Masala - 1 Tsp
Other Ingredients
- Safeed Chaney(Chickpeas) - (3-4) Tsp Boiled
- Aloo(Potatoes) - (3-4) Tsp Boiled
- Tamatar(Toamtoes) - 1 Tsp
- Pyaaz(Onion) - 2 Tsp Chopped
- Sabaz Mirch(Green Chilly) - 1/2 Tsp Chopped
- Mint Chatni - 2 Tsp
- Khubani ki Chatni(Apricot Sauce) - (3-5) Tsp
Directions
> Prepare Mong daal Dahi vada by adding salt, red chilly, Cumin seeds, Red chilly Flakes, Baking Soda and Green Chilly ground in water ( 1/2 Cup). Mix well and Gradually add water to make a smooth batter.
> Take 1 Tsp of batter and deep fry the bhallas till Golden brown. Soak in lukewarm water for 15 minutes and squeeze to remove excess water.
> To prepare the sweetened Yogurt, add salt, sugar, and chat Masala and whisk it well.
> Set the Mong Daal Bhalla in Tray, add sweetened yogurt, chickpeas, potatoes, Chopped tomatoes, Chopped Onion, Chopped Green Chilly, mint chatni, and apricot sauce.
