 Moong Daal

Super Easy Moong Daal with Tarka, A quick and delicious meal to be prepared for busy moms.
A Special Tardka of Cumin Seeds makes this more tasteful.

Ingredients


  • Moong Daal(Split Green Gram) - 1/2 Cup Soaked for 30 Minutes.
  • Namak(Salt) - 2 Tsp or to taste.
  • Lal Mirch Powder( Red Chilly Powder) - 1 Tsp.
  • Haldee Powder(Turmeric Powder) - 1/4 Tsp.
  • Paani(Water) - 4 Cups.
  • Fresh Dhania(Corriander Leaves) - (2-3) Tsp or As Required.

For Tarka

  • Oil - 1 Cup.
  • Pyaaz(Onion) - 1 Medium Finely sliced.
  • Lehsan(Garlic) - (2-3) Cloves.
  • Sabat Lal Mirch( whole Red Chilly) - 2.
  • Dhania( Corriander Seeds) - 1/2 Tsp.
  • Zeera(Cumin Seeds) - 1 Tsp.

Directions

> In a Pan, Add Moong Daal, Water, Salt, Red Chilly, and Haldee powder. Mix well and bring it to boil on medium flame.
> Cover the Pan and Cook on Low Flame About 15- 20 Minutes Until the Daal is fully Cooked.
> For Tarka, Take Oil in the Pan and fry the Onion, Garlic cloves, and whole red chilly until translucent then add Corriander Seeds and Cumin Seeds and Fry for 2-3 Minutes. Add Tarka to the Pan of Cooked Moong Daal.

Your Delicious Moong Daal With Tarka is Ready To serve.
