Recipe of Matar Pulao
MATAR PULAO
A very Tasty Recipe for Rice Lovers and Vegetarians. The Mixture of Rice with Matar makes it more Aromatic and Flavorful.
Ingredients
- Pyaaz(Onion) - 1 Medium
- Matar(Peas) - 1/2 Cup
- Paani(Water) - 6 Cups
- Chawal(Rice) - 3Cups
- Oil - ( 1/2 Cup)
- Tamatar( Tomato) - 1 Medium Chopped
- Sabaz Mirch( Green Chilly) - (2-3) Chopped
- Namak(Salt) - 1 Tsp or to taste
- Lal Mirch Powder(Red Chilly Powder) - 1 Tsp
- Kaali Mirch Powder(Black Pepper Powder) - 1/2 Tsp
- Haldee Powder( Turmeric Powder) - 1/2 Tsp
- Achaar Masala - 1/4 Tsp
- Dadar Mirch( Red Chilly Flakes) - 1/2 Tsp
- Darchini(Cinnamon) - 1 Small
- Sabaz Elaichi(Green Cardamon) - 1
- Kaali Elaichi( Black Cardamom) - 1
- Sabut Kaali Mirch(Black Pepper) - 2
- Sabut Lal Mirch(Whole Red Chilly) - 2
- Laung(Cloves) - 2
- Saunf(Fennel Seeds) - 1/2 Tsp
- Zeera(Cumin Seeds) - 1/2 Tsp
- Zeera, Dhania Powder(Cumin, Corriander Powder) - 1/2 Tsp
Directions
> In a Pan, Add Oil, Onion, and fry until translucent.
> Add Tomato, Green chilly, salt, Red chilly powder, Turmeric powder, Achaar masala, Red chilly flakes, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Black pepper, Whole red chilly, cloves, fennel seeds, and Cumin, Coriander Powder. Mix well, add little water and cover until tomatoes are soft.
> Add Peas and cover until peas are done.
> Add water, let it boil and then add rice. Cook on medium flame until rice 90% cooked.
> Cover the lid and Cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Your Tasty Matar Pulao is ready to serve. Serve with Raita and salad.
